The Indiana Pacers welcome Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder to Conseco Fieldhouse for their only visit this season as the Pacers hope to turn Black Friday into Blue and Gold Friday. The Thunder are actually younger than the Pacers but pack plenty of firepower with Russell Westbrook running things with Durant.
Once again the Pacers will have to rely on a solid defensive effort to put themselves in position to win this one. With the L.A. Lakers looming next to start a tough four-game road swing out west, this game tips off a dreaded stretch of the schedule. Although, considering the Pacers' play of late, I'm actually looking forward to these next five games as another opportunity to see just how much this team has grown and can grow. They've avoided any major adversity thus far despite a couple of heart-wrenching losses and the team's ability to lean on their defense to overcome incosistent offensive outings has kept winning in play on nearly every night.
The upcoming roadie may provide that adversity even if the level of play remains relatively high, but before hitting the road, the Pacers have another opportunity to wow the home fans and leave town with some positive momentum.
