Amar'e Stoudemire will likely bounce out of bed this morning eager to get to the Fieldhouse tonight where the Phoenix Suns will face the Indiana Pacers.
For some reason, the Fieldhouse brings out the best in Stoudemire or maybe it's just the Pacers' defense but regardless, in their last two visits to Indy, the dynamic forward has led the Suns to two high-flying and highly entertaining wins.
Last season, Stoudemire pumped in a season-high 49 points in the Suns 113-103 win and the Pacers simply had no answer for the big guy. He was draining mid-range shots which simply made it unfair when combined with a few furious finishes at the rim.
Back in the 2007-08 season, Stoudemire also logged his season-high at the Fieldhouse when he dropped 42 in a wild 121-117 win by the Suns.
Heading into the game tonight, Amar'e's is averaging just over 20 points per game and delivered pretty consistently all season. His season-high is 35 points, so hopefully the Pacers can make that number stick and find a way to slow down Stoudemire and the Suns for another win.
