Josh McRoberts Returns Home

Former Carmel Greyhound, Josh McRoberts, returns to Indy tonight with the Portland Trail Blazers. He's coming off his best night as a pro after playing 11 minutes and scoring 6 points last night in Portland's loss at Detroit.

Up until last night, McRoberts NBA career was off to a shaky start having played very little in three games earlier in the year and then putting in a tour of duty in the D-League. Fortunately, he was called up just in time for the Blazers' visit to Indy.

Philip B. Wilson has his story here. One interesting note is that if Josh does play tonight, it will be his first time playing at Conseco Fieldhouse. His Carmel teams never made it out of Sectionals, so they didn't get close to playing for State at the Fieldhouse. Then, Josh bailed on the Indiana All-Star team after missing out on winning Mr. Basketball, so he didn't play in the Indiana-Kentucky game at the Fieldhouse. Hopefully, he'll get some Fieldhouse burn tonight while playing in the NBA. Not a bad way to debut at the Fieldhouse.
