Apparently I missed something last night with my less than enthusiastic outlook for the remainder of the season. O'B didn't like the defense but still likes the effort of his club.
"I appreciate the effort and attitude from our team," said O'Brien, whose team is currently ninth in the Eastern Conference. "I think we can be involved in the playoff race. . . . I think this team is poised to make a run at the playoffs."
I normally correlate solid defense with effort, so if the defense was weak then what does that say about the overall effort. Oh well, that's why O'B gets paid the big bucks. If he keeps the Pacers grinding toward the playoff, I'll be right hear giving him and the team their just propers.
