Chuck Person wanted to be considered for the Pacers head coaching position and his wish was granted yesterday when he officially interviewed for the top job.
"The opportunity to coach this team would be an honor since this is the organization that drafted me out of college," Person said. "It would be a great challenge, but I've fully prepared myself the last few years as an assistant coach coupled with my 14 years of playing experience. I'm ready to meet those challenges."
Have to figure the Rifleman's chances are slim at best. But who knows? Maybe he wowed Larry Joe Legend in the interview like he did on the court in the 1991 playoff series against the Celtics.
