Tonight's game against the Sixers won't be for the faint of heart. Read the opening to Mike Wells' preview and you'll understand why.

Their best player, Jermaine O'Neal, will miss at least the next three games.

Their best slasher, Marquis Daniels, is likely out the next four.

Their starting point guard, Jamaal Tinsley, is questionable for tonight's game with Philadelphia after spending Friday watching practice in a sleeveless shirt, gym shorts and flip flops.

And to add insult to injuries, the Indiana Pacers' offense wasn't exactly flowing with them. Now they'll try to end a seven-game slide and keep their season from spiraling out of control without them.

Umm, I think the season is already spiraling out of control.

Fortunately for Hoosier hoop fans, this is one of the best days of the year. The High School Regional double-header this morning at Hinkle Fieldhouse saw future NBA talent (via IU), Eric Gordon, take over and lead North Central to a win over Pike. In the second game, Purdue-bound JaJuan Johnson and Franklin Central outlasted Lawrence North. After playing these games earlier today, the two winners meet TONIGHT to see who advances out of Regionals. That's right, you have to win two games in one day to advance. Great stuff, and a nice diversion from the Pacers current plight.
