Open Game Thread #77: Pacers vs. Bucks

Here's Bruno's Scouting Report which focuses on the thread holding the Pacers' playoff hopes alive. With Atlanta's win over Philly last night, the Pacers are 3.5 behind the Hawks with six games to play. Even if they win out, the Pacers need the Hawks to lose to the Knicks or Heat, let alone the Magic and a Celtics team that has clinched the top spot in the playoffs. One thing's for sure, the Hawks have made my W/L projections moot by winning a second game that I was hoping they'd lose.

Check out Brew Hoop for the Bucks' perspective on the game tonight.

Here's what the efficiency numbers say:

Team Pace Off.Eff. Def.Eff.
IND 96.0(3rd) 107.8(18th) 109.3(16th)
MIL 89.9(16th) 106.6(21st) 113.9(29th)

Projected Starters
PACERS pos. CELTICS
Mike Dunleavy F Desmond Mason
Troy Murphy F Charlie Villanueva
Jeff Foster C Andrew Bogut
Danny Granger G Michael Redd
Flip Murray G Mo Williams

Feel free to leave your thoughts on the game in the comments.

Don't know how you figure...
...that if the Pacers win out, they need the hawks to lose to Miami or NY.  They do not.  If the Pacers win out, and the Hawks lose to Indy, Boston, & Orlando, then Indy and Atlanta would be tied.  The Pacers would have the tiebreaker.  Most of this is probably moot, but just a slight discrepancy I wanted to point out.

You're right
The Pacers will have the tie-breaker if they beat the Hawks.
