SBNation NBA Mock Draft: Pick No. 4

2007 NBA Mock Draft
Overall Pick: 4

Memphis Grizzlies
Chosen by: Clips Nation commenter mp (Mike)
MIKE CONLEY, JR.
PG, Ohio State, Fr.

Mike selects Mike Conley, Jr. for the Griz after the Hawks, again, passed up on a potential long-term point guard solution.
Conley's athleticism is off the charts, and he has skills. Way to pass up a PG again, Atlanta. Memphis really needed Horford.
Hmmm, sounds like the Griz would rather have Horford. Could a trade be in the offing?

Next up: Boston Celtics

Love this pick
I love this pick.  If you think Conley will be great, as I do, then take him!  Especially if you need  PG.  I'm really not much of NBA guy, but I'm a bit confused as to why the Hawks would pass on Conley at 3 after passing on Paul and Williams.  If they are sure that Acie Law will be there at 11, fine, maybe it's worth the risk.  But haven't the likes of Deron Williams & Chris Paul proven their value?  If Tony Parker is on the Cavs, does it change this series?

I might be overrating Conley.  Williams got an Illini club to the Final Four, Paul didn't, but was HUGE against West Virginia in the tourney loss.  The Florida squad that Conley lost to might have 3 top 10 picks!

Great pick.
