Waiting on the Pacers vs. Raptors

Here are a few of items of interest:

  • Henry Abbott at TrueHoop takes a look at how efficiently Jermaine O'Neal took control of the Tyrus Thomas/Troy Murphy scrum. J.O. set the tone that no, the Pacers are not letting anything escalate during the first home game after Tinsley's eventful Sunday morning.
  • Charley Rosen took a close look at the Pacers win over the Bulls and scrutinized the play of Jermaine O'Neal and Jamaal Tinsley. Pretty interesting stuff, although I think he's overstating some of the negatives on both. J.O.'s intensity hasn't been any different in my eyes. He's had to play a lot of minutes recently with the front court injuries to Jeff Foster and David Harrison. A couple of Tinsley's forced shots were shot clock-induced forced shots. Defensively? He is what he is, with good hands, roams for steals, but a step slow in one-on-one situations.
  • Here's the latest Indy Star videocast, taped prior to the Pacers win over the Bulls. Mark Montieth and Mike Wells weren't feeling too confident after that Cavs loss either. The went over three minutes before mentioning Jamaal Tinsley's incident. After ruining their weekend, it was probably the last thing they wanted to talk about. Montieth mentioned Tins told them he stay in more and if he goes out, he'll take professional security. Mark has the full story here.
