Pacers Links: Hawks at Fieldhouse; David West a unique leader for Pacers

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

After plane problems delayed the Pacers return home from Toronto, the team will take on the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday evening at the Fieldhouse.

The Pacers continue trying to figure out how to raise their level of play with five games remaining in the regular season when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.

While there have been signs of life of late, including an improved effort on the road in Toronto, the Pacers still came up empty down the stretch and lost to a Raptors' team minus starters Kyle Lowry and Amir Johnson. Not the stuff of a team ready for a deep playoff run.

They should expect a desperate Atlanta team as the Hawks try to hang on to the final playoff spot in the East with the Knicks applying pressure just one game back.

Among the links today, don't miss Candace Buckner's profile of David West which shed a little light on the Pacers unique leader along with some humorous anecdotes. Man, I'd love to see DWest playing the tuba!
