Just as the Pacers are battling for the top spot in the East with Miami, the Raptors are knotted up with Chicago for the third spot. As the math falls at this moment, the game at the Air Canada Centre could be a second-round playoff preview should both teams make it past the first round.
The Pacers are 2-1 against the Raptors so far this season with the home team winning all three games. The Pacers were pounded in their New Year's Day loss at Toronto with Terrence Ross, DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry all outplaying their Pacers counterparts.
Lowry may not be available after missing Toronto's last game with a bruised knee cap. Greivis Vasquez would create problems with his length, but Lowry is so tough, the Pacers would be getting a break if he is unable to play. Also, Amir Johnson is dealing with an ankle injury so if he can't go full throttle that means more minutes for Tyler Hansbrough.
The Pacers don't expect C.J. Watson back as he continues struggling to return from his hamstring injury.
The Pacers wold like to think they are making strides in their efforts to refocus and hit the playoffs ready roll. Their effort in Toronto will show just how ready they are with less than two weeks to go.
