Pacers Playoffs Links: Game 5 puts control of series up for grabs for Pacers and Hawks

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

After splitting the first four games, the Pacers and Hawks return to the Fieldhouse for Game 5 with control of the series on the line.

The Pacers return to action a Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Monday night looking to gain the upper hand against the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5 of their first round playoff series.

The Pacers have been chasing the Hawks so far in the series, but have twice been able to even things up after wins in Games 2 and 4. Backing up their win in Atlanta on Saturday afternoon with a strong effort at home in Game 5 would put the Pacers in control of the series for the first time and should be enough to get them over the hump to advance. Frank Vogel spoke about the opportunity in Game 5 after practice on Sunday.

"Usually the first team to win two games in a row in a series usually wins the series," Vogel said. "We have an opportunity to do that, so that's our focus (Monday) night."

I talked about the state of the series today on The Phil Naessens Show. Check it out!
