Andy Lyons

The Pacers try to even up their first round playoff series with the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night after getting rolled at home in the opener. What adjustments will the Pacers make to slow down the Hawks attack? Something has to change to even things up before the series moves on to Atlanta.

The Indiana Pacers try to solve the Atlanta Hawks in Game 2 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.

The word of the day is: adjustments.

The Pacers have been blown away twice by the Hawks at BLF in the past couple of week which is close enough to a trend that should force Frank Vogel to adjust his playing rotation and mix n match his personnel to alter the matchups which obviously have been a problem in those last two losses.

Normally making bold moves brings the risk of overreacting and over-correcting but the Pacers don't have to worry about straying too far away from who they are as a team because the "who" they used to be is shattered into a bunch of pieces so trying to put together another plan can't work any worse than what they have been doing.

As I mentioned in the links, you gotta embrace the drama and enjoy the situation regardless of how miserable the end result may be. A win tonight would bring a much-needed sign of life which would mean more basketball and more drama that is reality TV at its best. We just don't want to see any reruns of Game 1.
