After dropping Game 1 at home, the Indiana Pacers have their backs against the wall in desperate need of a win against the Hawks to even the series before it heads to Atlanta.
The Pacers are all in this year but they may be all out by the end of the night if they can't find a way to beat the Atlanta Hawks in Game 2 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Pacers played Game 1 like they were all out of options for altering their fortunes against the Hawks but after a couple of days off there will certainly be some adjustments at both ends of the floor to try to spark a revival of the Pacers. Frank Vogel has been half-smiling while constantly avoiding direct answers about his changes for Game 2, but if the Pacers' level of play and effort from the players across the board doesn't change, no one will be laughing on Wednesday morning.
Suddenly, the long regular season that was all about the playoffs is already on the brink of failure heading into Game 2 of the opening series. A win at the Fieldhouse changes everything in a hurry and puts the series back on even footing.
Regardless of the outcome, make sure you enjoy the scene of high drama at the Fieldhouse. Let's just hope there's another act at BLF after Game 2.
