Maybe March was just an elaborate April Fools' Day joke pulled off to perfection by the Pacers?
Yeah, I know, that's funny but I think we're running out of explanations for the team's 8-9 March record which somehow has them only percentage points behind the Miami Heat in second place.
But the standings are the least of the Pacers' worries at this point as they are just trying to find a way to score points, stop the sliding and begin building some positive momentum. The Detroit Pistons are in the Fieldhouse again on Wednesday, the first team to beat the Pacers at the Fieldhouse back in mid-December, to present matchup problems that will test the Pacers once again.
March became embarrassing for the Pacers, whether with their play on the court or their reactions off it. April sounds like a good month to show a little pride in their craft and figure out how to get back on track as a team.
Oh, and no, Larry Bird is not taking over the head coaching duties for the rest of the season as the boys on PTI tried to sell yesterday.
