Things have been back and forth in the first half of Game 1 between the Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks with the two teams ending up knotted at 50-50 at the break. The Pacers stormed out to a quick lead, but the fears of the Hawks cropped up on a 16-2 run that put Atlanta up nine with Jeff Teague attacking and Atlanta's three point shooters finding looks. The Hawks led by six after the first quarter thanks to nine second chance points.
The Hawks thrived on long offensive rebounds and 50/50 balls, but Indiana were able to jump ahead thanks to Lance Stephenson and Paul George, but the Hawks closed the half on a 7-1 run to tie the game at 50-50 when a George turnover led to a Kyle Korver put back. George leads all scorers with 14 points, Korver has 12 to lead the Hawks with six three point attempts as part of 18 first half three point attempts by the Hawks.
