Pacers Links: Pacers have enough in reserve to beat Bucks

The Pacers used a spirited effort down the stretch from their reserve unit to beat the Bucks and recapture the top spot in the East.

Frank Vogel shook up the Pacers' team dynamic on Wednesday night and accomplished everything he could hope for in the process including arriving back in Indy with a win over the Bucks and the top spot in the East.

With the starting unit fully engaged on the bench, Chris Copeland capped off a strong effort from the reserves to beat the beat the Bucks just before the final buzzer while the Miami Heat were losing in Memphis. The standings continue to fluctuate on a day-to-day basis with the road through the one remaining a challenge, but if the Pacers actually do bounce out of their rut thanks to the rest plan executed in Milwaukee, it may not matter.

Miami has to beat the Pacers on Friday if they have any hopes of grabbing the top spot in the East. After their loss to the Grizz, the team sounded like the Pacers on Sunday night, trying to minimize the matchup with the Pacers with an eye toward getting right for the playoffs, Although, LeBron James did let slip that the intensity of the matchup is hard to deny.

Unless one of the team goes with a full 'Poppovich' to hold back players, Friday should be a nice playoff primer between two teams that just can't get along.
