The Indiana Pacers fought back from a slow start, falling behind by eight and jumping to within two points at 17-15 late in the first quarter, but the Spurs responded with a 15-0 run early in the second to put them up 17 as the boo birds came out in Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Pacers would fight from double figures for the rest of the first half, but Lance Stephenson tried to spark the offense that came up with just 35 first half points on 35% shooting.
Tony Parker kept the Spurs in control with 14 first half points on 7-10 shooting. Roy Hibbert and Stephenson each had nine to lead the Pacers, but both are below 50% shooting. No one on the team is shooting near 50% except George Hill, who has seven points on 3-3 shooting.
