Final score: Pacers lose physical battle to Grizzlies, 82-71

The Pacers were outworked and unable to match the physical intensity of the host Grizzlies while falling flat on the road.

Once again, the Indiana Pacers dropped a road game on  the second night of a back-to-back, after the Memphis Grizzlies took the fight to the Pacers to win 82-71 on Saturday night.

A few familiar faces paced the Grizz, with former Lawrence North star,  Mike Conley leading Memphis with . Marion legend, Zach Randolph pitched in a 18 point, 10 rebound double-double as the Grizzlies simply beat the Pacers to the punch all night with a strong defensive effort to grind the Pacers offense to a half.

A night after every starter scored in double figures, only two starters reached that mark against Memphis, with Lance Stephenson leading the way with 15 points and 8 rebounds as really the only Pacers who was able to make plays throughout the game. David West also had 10 points but needed 15 shots.

Roy Hibbert spent extra time on the bench with foul trouble but still finished with just four points and no rebounds. Paul George was never able to get his shot going, making 2 of 10 field goal to finish with just eight points.

None of it was nearly good enough against the Grizzlies who dominated the points in the paint (46-24) and fast break points (18-7) while also enjoying a 47-35 rebound advantage.

The Pacers will go straight to Chicago where they play the Bulls on Monday which will require a much better effort than they showed on Saturday night in Memphis.
