Why the bench has been suckalicious

The main problem is easy to spot.

The main problem is lack of shooters. Bird got a nice scorer in Turner, but still hasn't solved for the lack of a shooter.

Running Lance with the 2nd unit is just not a good idea if you don't give him shooters. 1. He's not a shooter, though he can score. Ian isn't either. Neither is Turner, though he can score. Scola really isn't either (he's better posting up, but we continue to force him to shoot 17fters). CJ is a good shooter, but he's been out.

So let's get this straight. We have 2 solid ball handlers with questionable passing at times (Turner and Lance) and no shooters for them to pass to.

That's just dumb, and I don't really understand why Vogel doesn't work on this. My fixes are below, but we all know they won't happen. Just wishful thinking on my part.

1. GHill would be so much better suited running with the 2nd unit, or even West. Both are solid shooters. Might force Hill to be more aggressive, cause we all know an aggressive Hill is really spectacular. He's just rarely aggressive.

2. Cope over Scola. Cope stretches the floor and can only make things easier for Turner and Lance to attack the basket.

And stop camping Turner out past the 3pt line. It's not fooling anyone.
