On Media Day eve, plenty of links for Pacers fans to enjoy. Of course, most deal with the Pacers big announcement yesterday that they locked up Paul George to a max contract extension which will kick in next year. PG was fantastic in expressing his appreciation and level of excitement for remaining in Indy for the next several years.
Along with his presser, PG also appeared on the Dan Dakich Show (link below) and shared similar sentiments. I really enjoyed hearing PG talk about how he loves being a part of the community and the embrace he's felt from the locals.
"I probably wave at about 20 or 30 people every time I go home," George said. "It's pretty crazy. I just recently purchased a house on Geist, which I love - the whole community. I have kids bringing me grapes. It's just crazy. I've never felt so a part of something and a part of the community like that. ...It's really love here and somewhere I love to call my home."
Also, last night I appeared on The Phil Naessens Show once again where we discussed Paul George's big day and the impact of Larry Bird returning to the Pacers front office. You can listen on Phil's site or right here.
Finally, before hitting the links, check out what has become the Pacers annual pre-camp paintball outing. Scott Agness has the crew posing at White River Paintball in rural Anderson. David West? Danny Granger? Luis Scola sneaking in the pic? Can't decide my favorite look.
