So I'll start with saying that I am pretty excited and happy with our current lineup and could see Plumlee becoming a more than competent backup 4 on our way to contending for a Championship. F@#$ you weird Orlando guy.
To the point of my post, Brandon Jennings is in rumblings of a sign and trade. Would we save enough money for say a 4 year 28 million dollar deal for Jennings, upgrade in production and sign and trade him for George Hill to be worth the risk? Jennings averaged 17.5 6.5 16.20 PER with a blackhole in Ellis on his team, Hill averaged 14.2 4.7 16.59 PER. Yet as I write this and look at the numbers my brain says" Duh , Stupid, Hill's better and why mess up the chemistry?' but for some reason I have never really embraced Hill fully.
Yes I have always rooted for Hill, but I have never been overly impressed and really connected like I have with the other guys. Am I still pissed about Leonard? So I hold it against him, maybe, yet I understand we wouldn't have gotten PG probably. So I don't know, am I crazy for wondering about a trade of Hill for Jennings? Am I letting the prognosticators get to me and listening to their talk of needing a PG and not a combo at the 1? Talk me off the cliff or do we make such a trade for a more "traditional" higher assist guy?
