The Pacers blowout loss in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals was a sad ending, but only to a great season. Although coming only one game short of the NBA Finals stings, Pacers' players are still thinking positively.
"It's unfortunate we lost, but I couldn't be more proud of this team...The future is bright," said center Roy Hibbert. Hibbert obviously isn't dreading on the loss and noticed what the team has in store for the future. Paul George also made a remark on the Pacers' season. "I'm proud of what we had this year."
The Pacers are a very young team who has multiple stars in the making on their roster. After losing leader Danny Granger, the Pacers weren't supposed to make it to Game 7 of the conference finals. They overcame the odds, and took the defending champs as far as they possibly could. Unfortunately it ended in a loss, but the players look at the season overall as a success, and that's how the fans should see it as well.
Next season, the Pacers should surely be back after hopefully improving their weaknesses over the summer and fall.
