The Indiana Pacers will face off with the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight. Whoever wins, goes onto the NBA Finals to face off with the San Antonio Spurs who have been waiting for their opponent for a while now. If Indiana wants to win tonight, here's what they need to do:
The Indiana back-court has been the X-factor for the Pacers this series, and it needs to produce tonight.
2. Keep feeding the bigs and getting easy fouls
The Heat can obviously not stop Indiana's front-court, forcing them to foul. If the Pacers run their offense through the bigs like they have been, the Heat will foul and get in trouble towards the end of the game.
3. Play defense first, offense second
Indiana's defense is what got them to this point. When you play defense well, the offensive end is less stressful. This results in better shots and less turnovers.
4. Make easy shots and limit turnovers
Indiana's losses this series could be traced back to missing easy shots in the paint and way too many turnovers. If the Pacers make most of their easy shots and limit the turnovers, Indiana will have a much better flowing game.
If Indiana does these things, they could very well be representing the East in the NBA Finals.
