Pacers' forward Danny Granger was limited to 5 games this season after an ailing knee injury that started in the off-season and ran into the regular season. Due to his absence, 3rd year wing man Paul George stepped up to the open spot and has taken over the position, as well as the team. George has shown what he can do and has certainly placed himself among an elite category in the league, well, he's at least close behind it.
With Paul George taking Granger's spot in the starting lineup, the Pacers are now faced with a tough decision this off-season: Either trade Granger for a lottery pick in the draft, or keep him and make him a pretty high-paid 6th man.
It all comes down to what Granger wants. Either he accepts his new role as a 6th man and stays with the squad at a reduced role, or can deny the spot and take his talents somewhere else where he can be a starter once again.
