The Indiana Pacers fought and clawed their way back despite turnover issues and defensive lapses to take a 64-62 third quarter lead. From there, Indiana blanked and New York just got warmed up, leading to a 30-2 run before the Pacers finally scored nearly seven and a half minutes in the fourth quarter.
The Pacers doomed themselves throughout the game with 21 turnovers that led to 32 New York points before finally catching up to them when the team quit scoring all together, erasing a solid shooting performance to that point. They also were beaten up on the boards, allowing 13 offensive rebounds.
Paul George led the Pacers with 20, but had seven turnovers to lead the turnover fiasco. Carmelo Anthony found some consistent shooting to finish with a game high 32. David West had 13 and George Hill 12 as the series goes back to Indiana notched at 1-1.
