Pacers Final Score: Pacers stumble against Knicks 90-80

USA TODAY Sports

Indiana was caught in a comedy of errors in a loss to New York.

The Indiana Pacers found themselves not only in a tough game against the New York Knicks for their 50th win, but a battle against themselves mentally, and the inability to key in on the latter resulted in a frustrating loss to the former. The Pacers held a first quarter lead despite a hot start from Carmelo Anthony, but once New York jumped into the lead, they held it the entire way.

The Pacers had an almost unlimited amount of opportunities to steal this game from the Knicks, but committed 26 turnovers that led to a 33-9 points off turnovers advantage for New York. The Pacers got to the line 26 times, but shot just 62% and had seven offensive fouls. And despite a big size advantage, Indiana ended up with 28 three point attempts while David West and Roy Hibbert combined for 14. Lance Stephenson scored 22, but couldn't contend with 25 from Carmelo Anthony and 20 from Chris Copeland.
