The Indiana Pacers are short three starters tonight, but have stepped up in a big way to build a 15-point halftime lead against the Atlanta Hawks, at one point leading by 20 in the second quarter. Roy Hibbert got the Pacers going early as part of his 11 points, but the real story has come from Orlando Johnson and Jeff Pendergraph, who have a combined 27 points for Indiana, including a career high for Johnson with 15.
The Hawks took a four point lead late in the first quarter before Johnson evened it up on a four-point play, and the second quarter became all Indiana, winning the quarter 32-17 to build an impressive halftime lead. The other starter for Indiana, Paul George, has eight. Josh Smith has 17 for the Hawks.
