A second half surge helped the Pacers to the home victory over Minnesota.
It was a wire-to-wire victory for the Indiana Pacers, but ended up being far from the game the final score suggested, with a spirited Minnesota Timberwolves team using a hot first half to put themselves in position to challenge the Pacers in the second half. But each time Minnesota drew the game within a few points, the Pacers responded with a run to push the lead back out of reach from Minnesota.
Roy Hibbert was the leader on the floor tonight, with a season high 27 points as part of a 27 & 12 double double, also leading the Pacers, who clamped down defensively in the second half, finishing with four blocks. Five Pacers reached double figures with Paul George following Hibbert with 17 and George Hill with 16. David West had 12 and Orlando Johnson scored 10 in the final period to reach 12 points. Ricky Rubio was tremendous again tonight for Minnesota with 21 points and 10 assists, totaling six more rebounds.
