NBA All-Star weekend: Paul George to launch away in three-point contest

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

Pacers swingman Paul George will take part in the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest on NBA All-Star Saturday night.

The Pacers will be well represented on All-Star Saturday night in Houston with Paul George taking part in the three-point contest, joining fellow high-flyer Gerald Green in the weekend activities. Green will take part in the slam dunk contest after George works his way around the arc.

PG has torched the nets from three-land at Bankers Life Fieldhouse this season but remains a bit streaky from distance so if he gets his flow going, George might have a chance but doing it for multiple rounds will be a challenge. Of course, PG has stepped up to every challenge this year and does seem to like the pressure. Just getting the invite is a nice nod to George's development this year as he makes the rare leap from the slam dunk contest to the three-point shoot out in one year.

PG will have to out shoot some of the league's best pure shooters from distance which includes Ryan Anderson, Steve Novak, Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving and Matt Bonner.
