In Houston for the All-Star game, Paul George described the way he and Danny Granger plan to succeed together.
Paul George spoke with the media on Friday afternoon as part of his duties as a first-time All-Star for the Eastern Conference.
Among the topics was the return of Danny Granger to the Indiana Pacers lineup in the near future. There have been plenty of concerns expressed about Granger returning and messing up the good thing Paul George has going since the two players play best at the same position.
But, what if they actually play better together?
It is possible, you know, and that's exactly how PG sees it playing out. In this interview posted on HoopsWorld, Granger talks about Granger's return and not just in general terms of expecting a positive experience. PG mentions the pair have been planning for the eventual pairing on the wing and the potential problems they can present other teams, as opposed to their own.
Granger's an All-Star, he's been an All-Star, so he plays at a high level as it is. We have the aspirations of being a combo, wing type of dynamic where teams like Miami, OKC, you know they have two dominant wings playing off one another, so that's the way I envision us playing with each other.
Among the other links from Houston are a ton of great interviews on Pacers.com, as Eddie White roams all of the events with his mic. This includes great reactions to Roger Brown's Hall of Fame selection. Mel Daniels' wife CeCe -- WOW! She should serve as the historical ambassador of Pacers hoops for all time.
