After scoring just 10 points in the first 9:30 of the second quarter, the Indiana Pacers used a 9-2 run to close the quarter, taking a three-point halftime lead over the Charlotte Bobcats. The Pacers have struggled to keep Charlotte off the glass, which allowed the Bobcats to hold a lead through most of the second quarter. The score was Indiana's advantage at 30-29 after one, making the second quarter scoring issues a stark contrast to what felt like a defensive-less first quarter.
Indiana has been led by Tyler Hansbrough, starting in David West's absence, who has 15 points, six boards (four offensive), and even a pair of steals. Paul George had 11 in the first quarter as part of his 13 first half points, dishing out five assists. Byron Mullins is leading the Bobcats with 13 on 6-9 shooting.
