The Pacers host the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night as they try to begin another winning streak.
The Indiana Pacers had a couple of days off stew over the sudden loss to Toronto on Friday night. After staying busy last week with four games in five days, the Pacers took advantage of Sunday to hold a full-scale practice while preparing to face the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night.
The big news out of Sunday's workout was Danny Granger joining the team for full-court action while moving closer to a return to the playing rotation. Granger's return will be huge, but he won't be available to help against the Nets in a tough game against another Eastern Conference contender.
While the Pacers were resting Sunday evening following practice, the Nets were at the Barclays Center battling the San Antonio Spurs. The Nets will be pretty salty when they arrive in town after getting beat by the Spurs 111-86 with no Tim Duncan or Manu Ginobili. The Nets actually scored 35 points in the first quarter and had a six-point lead at halftime. But in the second half, the Nets only scored 29 points and are now two full games behind the Pacers in fifth place in the East.
