Brad Stevens has some fond memories of coaching his Butler teams at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, so he should be plenty comfortable on the sidelines Sunday evening when his Boston Celtics face the Indiana Pacers.
Two years ago, Butler rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second half to swipe a win from Purdue. Then last year, an unlikely put back by Alex Barlow gave the Bulldogs a big win over then No.1 ranked Indiana.
Stevens will be looking to do what he does best again on Sunday -- find a way to beat a team that appear to have more talent. The Celtics lead the Atlantic Division but considering the bottom-heavy state of the division and the C's sub-.500 record, Boston isn't exactly riding high. Still, they are finding ways to compete nightly and will surely be on point against the Pacers considering the Stevens homecoming and the fact that all teams ramp up their effort to play the top team in the East.
