The Case Against George Hill

Does anyone else have a case against George Hill. Is he a point guard or a shooting guard? The answer to that question needs to be resolved in order for the Pacers to win an NBA Championship.

Remember last year's Eastern Conference Finals? Remember the dreaded inability to get the offense set beyond the half-court line due to backcourt pressure? You would think his dribbling and the ability to break double teams would be something he would have worked on in the offseason. This is still a glaring weakness in Hill's game.

Currently George Hill is averaging - 11.7 points, 3.5 Rebounds and 3.9 Assists.

That brings up another issue. His assist per game ratio. Think about it. Any point guard can pass to PG, Stephenson, West and easily average 7 to 10 assists per game.

Other areas that need improvement:

- Inability to initiate and guard the pick-in-roll
- Inability to slash into the lane and break the defense down

It's clear to me we need a true point guard. So here goes, trade Granger and Hill with a 2nd round pick for Rajon Rondo. Just my opinion... Stirring the pot a little :)
