The Toronto Raptors showed up at the Fieldhouse ready to play which led to an early deficit for the Pacers. But as they've done all year, the Pacers emerged from halftime trailing by two and then took the Raptors into the third-quarter torture chamber and seized control of the game.
From there, the Pacers eased the W on home to move to 6-0 on the season and move on to the next task, a Saturday night matchup with the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets boast plenty of star power regardless of how much wattage remains in the legs and Paul George for one, expressed his excitement over playing Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, a pair of players he's looked up to for much of his hoops-playing life. Now PG gets to play them on a level plane, a peer as one of the stars in the league.
The Nets pose plenty of problems across the roster and off the bench, so the Pacers will have their hands full trying to win their fourth game in five nights and seventh overall to start the season.
