George Hill injury update: Pacers point guard rule out against Pistons

Brian Spurlock-US PRESSWIRE

The sore hip continues to slow down George Hill as he will rest on Tuesday with hopes to play later during the busy schedule this week for the Pacers.

According to reports from Detroit, the Pacers will be without starting point guard George Hill for the second consecutive game. Hill's sore hip will keep him out of the lineup against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night, according to Brooke Olzemdam.

As we mentioned earlier, the Pacers have a busy and tough slate of games this week and the team hopes an extra day of rest will give Hill a chance to play on Wednesday when the Chicago Bulls show up at the Fieldhouse. Reserve point guard C.J. Watson will remain in the starting lineup where he did a nice job defending Kyrie Irving on Saturday. Tonight he'll have to chase around Brandon Jennings with Donald Sloan assuming the extra reserve minutes.

Oh, and Happy Birthday, Ian!
