The Indiana Pacers wake up in Atlanta this morning where they will play the Hawks tonight in preseason action. Frank Vogel plans to play the final two preseason games as a regular season dress rehearsal or at least as close as he can considering the circumstances. Danny Granger will muck up those plans since his strained calf will have him sidelined tonight and again on Friday.
Here is a brief look at other topics in the links today:
- The NBA is close to cutting a deal to offer live streaming of games for local television providers for those teams that broadcast on Fox Sports Media Group (and NBC Sports Group) which includes the Pacers. This will be fantastic for me since I will be out of town on opening night. As I read it, this does not change anything for out of town fans or those with League Pass, but it is a step in the right direction for access to Pacers games.
- Hilton Armstrong and Rasual Butler continue to work with the Pacers with their potential cut day looming at the end of the week. I still assume one of the two will end up on the roster to start the season, although Frank Vogel certainly didn't tip his hand.
- Talking preseason and the troubling rebounding numbers we've seen on The Phil Naessens Show. Hit the link or listen here:
- Tyler Hansbrough and Ronnie World Peace mucking it up in preseason action. Well, just enjoy this.
Ronnie had Tyler's back on Twitter after the game, though.
