Pacers and Heat tied at halftime 42-42

Stay connected for news and updates

The Indiana Pacers have done a solid job keeping the Miami Heat in check through most of the first half, using their bench to build a 38-28 lead, but a 14-2 run by the Heat put Miami back in the lead before a Roy Hibbert jumper tied the game at the half. Indiana has done a tremendous job defensively, holding Miami away from the rim while winning the rebounding battle, but Dywane Wade has still carried the Heat on his back as a jump shooter, scoring 23 first half points, including three three pointers (and an extra three from a three shot foul).

Lance Stephenson helped the Pacers early with seven first quarter points, but finished the half with three fouls. David West and Paul George also have seven. Roy Hibbert has six points and eight rebounds, including five offensive rebounds. Off the bench, Gerald Green has seven, Tyler Hansbrough has six, and D.J. Augustin has run the offense very well with four assists.
