Pacers Screwed by League

Yesterday the NBA announced the Pacers/Bulls game originally scheduled for December 26th has been rescheduled for February 4th. Here's the SI article with details: http://nba.si.com/2013/01/02/chicago-bulls-indiana-pacers-reschedule-game/?sct=uk_t2_a10.

Bad news for the Pacers because this creates a back-to-back-to-back. For the Bulls, it is not even create a back to back.

The Pacers will now play the following games, as a tough first week in February.

  • Heat@Pacers on Feb 1
  • Bulls@Pacers on Feb 4
  • Hawks@Pacers on Feb 5
  • Pacers@76ers on Feb 6

The Bulls schedule around this same time looks like this.

  • Bulls@Nets on Feb 1
  • Bulls@Hawks on Feb 2
  • Bulls@Pacers on Feb 4
  • Bulls@Denver on Feb 7

The only thing that would even out this schedule is if David Stern mandated the Bulls all conduct a mandatory 5 hour early morning practice on Feb 5 on skis upon the most treacherous slopes to be found anywhere in Colorado!

But seriously, I think this is a total SCREW JOB by David Stern and that the Pacers Front Office should file an official protest with the NBA League Office.
