Despite a late Wizards rally, the Pacers had just enough time to keep the win.
After a furious 24-7 start, the Indiana Pacers settled into a more difficult game than they had hoped with the Washington Wizards when the bench allowed Washington to climb back into the game, and within two in the third quarter. The Pacers got nearly all of their heavy lifting from their starters, once again short George Hill to help maintain and push the lead. Bradley Beal had some big stretches, including the Wizards' final eight to cut the lead to four with 34 seconds remaining.
Paul George led the Pacers with 29 points and 14 rebounds. D.J. Augustin once again played well with 18 points and six rebounds, getting to the line 10 times. Roy Hibbert had 13 despite limited minutes due to foul trouble, getting quality minutes from Ian Mahinmi, who had nine of the bench's 15 points, including 11 rebounds. Jordan Crawford led the Wizards with 20 off the bench.
