The NBA rescheduled the game between the Indiana Pacers and Chicago Bulls canceled on Dec. 26 for Monday, Feb. 4 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Hazardous weather conditions forced the NBA to cancel the game on Dec. 26 at the last minute despite the fact that both teams and the referees were at the Fieldhouse and ready to go. Both teams were without key players when the game was canceled but that may not be the case for the make-up game.
Danny Granger hopes to return in mid-February so his availability on the 4th seems a bit of a stretch. For the Bulls, Derrick Rose appears a little closer to returning despite varying reports on his status.
Feb. 4th may favor the Bulls as part of the larger schedule as well, although the Pacers should be fine when the two teams meet. Chicago has back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday prior to the Monday tip on the 4th. The Pacers have two days off prior to the Monday tip, but will then have to play three games in three nights and four in five nights, including a matchup on Tuesday, Feb. 5 against Atlanta.
Frank Vogel essentially said "whatever" to the circumstances and will have his team ready to deal with the schedule. Feb. 10 would've been the first date available for both teams that didn't require a back-to-back-to-back on the schedule.
