The Indiana Pacers return to Bankers Life Fieldhouse to play the Houston Rockets on Friday night before embarking on their second western swing next week.

The Rockets like to run and gun so the Pacers defense will have to work to earn a win tonight. Houston leads the league in pace with nearly 100 possessions per game while also squeezing off 28 three-pointers. Keeping James Harden and Jeremy Lin from getting in the lane will be key so the defense doesn't have to leave their three-point gunners open for a kick out.

Easier said than done, no doubt. The 100 point mark should be a good over/under indicator for the Pacers tonight. The Pacers have routinely held opponents under 90 points, but 100 might do the trick against the Rockets. Only four of Houston's 21 wins came in games where they scored less than 100 points.

The theory that good defense beats good offense will be put to the test at the Fieldhouse tonight. Of course, we'll also find out how bad defense fares against bad offense.
