Pacers lead Knicks 39-34 at halftime

Stay connected for news and updates

The Indiana Pacers extended their 16-14 first quarter advantage against the New York Knicks to 39-34 at halftime in a game defined by defense. Both teams are shooting in the heart of the 30% range. The Pacers have really done a great job frustrating the Knicks on the defensive end, limiting them to just one three point basket in the first half, and holding New York to their lowest first half output of the season.

Paul George leads the Pacers with seven, getting valuable bench play from Tyler Hansbrough and Jeff Pendergraph, each with six. Pendergraph got time with Ian Mahinmi getting early foul trouble and Roy Hibbert leaving the game with back spasms with a questionable return. J.R. Smith leads the Knicks with eight, but is 3-11 shooting with George smothering him.
