Pacers Links: Pacers try to keep rolling under spotlight against Knicks

Bruce Bennett

The Pacers make an oh so rare national TV appearance on TNT tonight when they host the Knicks.

The Indiana Pacers will try to back up their impressive win over the Miami Heat on Tuesday with an equally impressive effort against the New York Knicks on Thursday night.

The Pacers have won eight of their last 10 games while also riding an eight-game winning streak at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. With all of that winning the Pacers find themselves first place in the Central Division in third place in the Eastern Conference standings, just three games behind the Heat.

This is normally about the time the Pacers see a market adjustment as they always seem to do better in an underdog role yet have a hard time sustaining a high level of play against the top teams in the league. Just like the Knicks are lucky to catch the Pacers without Danny Granger, the Pacers won't shed a tear about Carmelo Anthony missing the game for New York due to a league suspension for eating too much Honey Nut Cheerios or something like that.

Regardless, Pacers vs. Knicks is always fun at the Fieldhouse and the fact that both teams are battling for prime real estate in the East makes it even better.

Plenty of links today since a win over the Heat draws a round of national writer taking note of the Pacers current state. Also, check out the courtside interview with Colts punter Pat McAfee which ends with him saying, "I'm all in LeBron James' head right now, all in there! I'm dancing on his brain!"
