Congratulations are due to Indiana Fever franchise forward Tamika Catchings for earning her third Olympic gold medal on Saturday as she did her part in Team USA's 86-50 route of France in the gold medal game in London.

The USA squad took a 12-point lead to the half and then absolutely ran over France in the second half, outscoring the silver medalists 49-25. For her part, Catchings play around 16 minutes and score four points. This was the fifth straight gold medal in women's hoops for Team USA. Catch has now collected gold in the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympic games. Quite an impressive feat for one of the special elite athletes in Indy. As for the Fever, they resume play after the WNBA's Olympic break on Thursday at the Fieldhouse against the Washington Mystics.
