Like most of the Pacers fans when 7 min before Stern announced the Pacers Pick I read Indiana will select Plumlee, I thought and hope it was a mistake. Then I wait for the beginning of the 2nd round hopping we'll take Q. Miller, Green or Barton and the Orlando pick happen.
But this is history now, already a bad memory for most of us or a good joke by Larry who knows.
After reading all I can about Plumlee plus listening Bird and Vogel about the pick, I've started to think that of course we, as fan, don't have the all picture and maybe it's not that stupid.
I think Foster was the perfect backup center for this team, a big time rebounder who can defend, tough etc. but you know Foster, IF Plumlee can be close to Jeff really soon, he is exactly what we need. And the big thing is that he is not expensive and when you look at the price of a reserve 7 footer it's a big +
The Orlando Johnson pick looks finally good, the guy is a scorer with a big work ethic big athlete a little bit old but can be a surprise.
So we've got our back up C and we've got some depth at the 2 for nothing. We can focus on signing Hibbert + Hill and we'll have enouch money to spend on another spot than center : the perimeter scorer that we need, B. Roy, Lou Williams or OJ Mayo.
