The Indiana Pacers wrapped up their fourth workout today at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse practice court with Reggie Hamilton (Oakland University), Tu Holloway (Xavier), Julian Mavunga (Miami Ohio), Hollis Thompson (Georgetown), Ricardo Ratliffe (Missouri), and Alex Young (IUPUI) showcasing their talents. These prospects are all likely late second round picks at best so the Pacers may be looking at them with a future free agent tryout in mind.
Indiana will have in a lot of size tomorrow. Check out the players expected at the workout after the jump .
We all know the routine of having in six prospects to go through the usual 3-on-3 scrimmage with individual testing. This time Indiana will have in Fab Melo (Syracuse), Jarrod Jones (Ball State), Chris Johnson (Dayton), Miles Plumlee (Duke), Kyle O'Quinn (Norfolk State), and Jonathon Simmons (Houston).
The key word to describe this upcoming workout is size. The Pacers will have two versatile 6-6 swingman in Johnson and Simmons and then four big men in Melo, Jones, Plumlee, and O'Quinn to showcase their talents against one another.
This could be a big workout for the Pacers. Many like Melo at 26 and O'Quinn is a riser who could be a dark horse pick at 26. Plumlee did very well at the NBA Draft Combine, showing up well against a lot of lottery talent. He could be another dark horse pick if he performs well in the workout. Jarrod Jones is a hometown kid from Ball State who will likely be a second round pick or get his chance as an undrafted free agent.
