The Pacers are Rodney Dangerfield

They get no respect.

I understand that this could be advantageous and isn't a huge deal, but seriously. SERIOUSLY! In this article, Bill Simmons lists 9 possible contenders for the O'Brien trophy. Nine. Over half of the field. No Pacers mention. In this article, Marc Stein says that Boston is a contender thanks to their defense and players and the team as a whole getting hot at the right time. Ring any bells? According to ESPN, the Pacers are averaging a point differential of +3, better than Boston's +2.3. I know differential counts offense as well as defense, but contenders need to score, too. Players getting hot? According to Basketball-Reference, Granger's lowest score in April was an 18 and he's averaging 22.8 PPG. Hibbert is averaging 13.6 PPG and 9.6 RPG. He's had double-doubles in 4 of his last six games including one against the supposedly great Serge Ibaka. Team getting hot? In April, the Pacers are a league-best 8-1. Back to my point, the Pacers are good. Good teams should get more publicity. Good teams should have televised games. The Knicks, who were just recently mediocre for Pete's sake, have a televised game against Charlotte. Yes, that Charlotte. Pacers - Thunder? Not televised.
