Pacers Injury Update: Darren Collison Misses Practice But Will Travel To Cleveland

Stay connected for news and updates

Indiana Pacers point guard Darren Collison missed his first game of the season on Monday due to a nagging groin injury in need of rest. The Pacers will keep him officially listed as day-to-day with the hope that he can go at game time on Wednesday night in Cleveland.

According to Mike Wells, Collison missed practice on Tuesday.

George Hill could get his second straight start at point guard against Cleveland on Wednesday. Darren Collison missed practice Tuesday so that he could see a specialist about his groin. He's expected to be with the team in Cleveland.

The Pacers certainly don't need to rush Collison back at this point as they look ahead to the second season in the playoffs, but Frank Vogel is interested tightening up the level of play throughout the remainder of the regular season so they would like to keep D.C. in the mix.

But until Collison is ready to go, George Hill will be running with the first unit while A.J. Price will pick up some minutes off the bench.
